Editorial policy
Sourcing
State wildlife rules on this site are paraphrased from primary sources: the Pennsylvania Game Commission, ODNR Division of Wildlife, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Georgia DNR Wildlife Resources Division, and Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources. Each state page links its agency directly. We never copy agency text verbatim, and we do not rely on third-party summaries for legal claims.
Cost figures
Cost ranges are typical figures from national public cost guides, always presented as ranges with the variables that move them — never as quotes or guaranteed prices. Actual pricing comes from independent providers after inspection.
Review cadence
State-law content is reviewed quarterly against primary sources. Every page displays a “Last reviewed” date, and it is genuine. Scheduled item on our calendar: Florida’s amended trapping rules take effect December 31, 2026, and all Florida content will be re-verified against them.
What we will never publish
- Fake reviews, star ratings, or testimonials — in visible copy or structured data
- Invented technicians, local offices, or addresses
- Licensing claims we have not verified for that specific jurisdiction
- “Humane relocation” promises in states whose laws prohibit relocation
